Swimmers - Overview
Be on Time for Training: Be on deck ready to swim at least five minutes before practice time and have necessary equipment, (this means arriving at the pool at least 15 minutes before practice time).
Be Cheerful & Cooperative: Competitive swimming is a sport based on developing strong technique. This means that every practice will not be exciting but training is why you came to the pool so be pleasant with your coaches and team mates.
Attend Training Regularly: Regular training is necessary to develop skills for competition. The coaching staff base training plans on the number of sessions, etc. If you do not attend practices regularly you will not receive the full benefit of training.
Be a Team Member at Meets: Stay with your team and cheer them on when they swim. Wear the team cap that identifies you as a CVAC swimmer.
Listen to your coach: Your coach’s job is to give you the best possible training for swimming competition. What they tell you is for your benefit as a competitive swimmer.
