Throughout the swimming season there are various swimming competitions; (meets) at which athletes will compete. All swimming competitions in New Brunswick are regulated and sanctioned by SNB. The meets each swimmer competes at is dependent on their individual skills and times and coaches will work with swimmers in each group to choose the appropriate meets they will attend.

A competition schedule is provided on this site early in the season and this schedule will indicate the dates and times, location and any applicable qualifying standards.

You will find all the upcoming meets that we will host and/or attend under Events & Results on our home page. The list of meets and their details will continue to be updated as more information is finalized.

Meet Fees

In addition to membership dues, swimmers are responsible for meet fees for each meet they attend.

Meet fees vary by competition and typically range from $35 to $150 or more per meet. Applicable fees will be outlined in the meet package.

Meet fees are paid to the host club and help cover expenses directly related to the competition, such as pool rental and other meet-related costs.

Meet Coaching Fees

A separate coaching fee is charged per swimmer to help offset coaching travel, accommodation, and other meet-related expenses.

The Club pays meet fees to the host club in advance. Applicable meet fees will therefore be charged to family accounts in the month following the meet.

Once a swimmer commits to a meet, the applicable fees are payable regardless of attendance, as entries are submitted in advance and the Club is charged for those entries.

Swimmers with overdue meet fees will not be permitted to compete in future meets until their account is brought up to date.
