Throughout the swimming season there are various swimming competitions; (meets) at which athletes will compete. All swimming competitions in New Brunswick are regulated and sanctioned by SNB. The meets each swimmer competes at is dependent on their individual skills and times and coaches will work with swimmers in each group to choose the appropriate meets they will attend.

A competition schedule is provided on this site early in the season and this schedule will indicate the dates and times, location and any applicable qualifying standards.

In addition to registration fees, swimmers pays meet fees for each meet they attend. At most meets fees range from $35.00 -$120.00 or more per meet. The details of these fees would be indicated in the meet package. Meet fees are paid to the host Club of the meet and are used for expenses directly related to the competition; (ie pool rental).

Meet Coaching Fees are charged per swimmer and are used to offset coaching travel, accommodation, and meet-related expenses. Coaching fees are $10.00 for a one-day Premier meet, $30.00 for two-day meets, and $50.00 for championships or meets longer than two days.

The Club pays all meet fees in advance to the host Club. Therefore, applicable meet fees will be charged to family accounts in the month following the meet. Once a swimmer commits to a meet, fees are payable regardless of attendance, as entries are submitted in advance and charged to the Club. Swimmers with overdue meet fees will not be permitted to compete in future meets until their account is current.
