Family Participation Policy
CVAC Family Participation Policy
Introduction
Our non-profit swim club, run by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, thrives on the active participation and support of our families. To ensure the smooth operation and success of our club, we rely on parent and family volunteers for various roles, including officiating, organizing fundraisers, planning club events, and assisting at swim meets.
Purpose
The goal of this policy is to distribute the volunteer responsibilities evenly among all members, ensuring that everyone contributes to the club’s success.
Volunteer Requirements
- Ripple Families: Each family is required to volunteer at least three (3) times per year.
- Swell and Tidal Families: Each family is required to volunteer at least four (4) times per year.
- Families with Multiple Swimmers: These families are required to volunteer at least four (4) times per year.
Volunteer Opportunities
Families can fulfill their volunteer requirements through various activities, including but not limited to:
- Officiating at swim meets
- Organizing fundraisers
- Planning and executing club events
- Signing up to help at swim meets
Volunteer Substitutes
Families may recruit extended family members or friends to volunteer on their behalf. However, please note that swimmers volunteering at meets will not count towards the family’s volunteer requirements.
Tracking and Reporting
The club will keep track of each family’s participation level, which will be reviewed twice a season. It is the responsibility of each family to ensure their volunteer hours are reported accurately.
Review and Amendment
This policy will be reviewed annually by the CVAC Board of Directors to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Amendments to the policy may be proposed by any club member and will be considered by the Board. Approved amendments will be communicated to all members in a timely manner.
Conclusion
Your active participation is crucial to the success of our swim club. By working together, we can create a supportive and thriving environment for our swimmers. Thank you for your commitment and support!
